With a city population estimated over 359,000 it is Texas' 7th largest. It is third major city which forms the Dallas / Fort Worth- Arlington Metroplex. They are the future home of the Dallas Cowboys new stadium (estimated to open in 2009). Home of the Texas Rangers. The playing surface of Ameriquest Field is 22 feet below street level in order to avoid summer winds. Was originally called The Ballpark in Arlington from 1994 until April 2004. This unique complex also includes a baseball museum, a children's learning center, and a four-story office building within the ballpark and a youth baseball park, a 12-acre lake, and parks and recreation space on the perimeter.
