Houston Museum District
Situated amid a lush setting and sculpture garden, the Houston Museum District features 19 different museums focused on art, science and education. Some of the museums include the Museum of Natural Science, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Holocaust Museum and Children's Museum. Additionally, the district offers restaurants and a cinema.

Miller Outdoor Theatre
Located on a high hill slope at Hermann Park, the Miller Outdoor Theatre offers free quality entertainment. Visitors can enjoy live, outdoor performances of dance, theater, musicals and concerts.

Cockrell Butterfly Center
At the Cockrell Butterfly Center, visitors can experience a recreated tropical rainforest with exotic plants and a stunning 50 foot waterfall. The highlight of this site is the thousands of colorful butterflies flying freely, much to the delight of adults and children alike.

Galleria
The Galleria is a one stop place for hotel accommodation, shopping, dining and entertainment. At this giant complex, visitors can stay in a hotel, enjoy a quality meal in their choice of fine restaurants, and shop until they drop in the wide selection of stores. On top of all that, visitors can experience fun and adventure in the huge, indoor skating rink.

Water Wall
Nearby the Galleria, the Water Wall landmark is a favored respite for both locals and tourists. Stand close to the wall and enjoy the cooling mist and soothing sounds of falling water. Take a seat on a bench and relax, read a book or watch people. Have a picnic on the pretty green space.

Houston Zoo
The Houston Zoo is one of the most popular attractions in Houston. Housing more than 6,000 land and marine animals, birds, reptiles and insects, visitors can encounter the likes of elephants, lions, giraffes, sea turtles, flamingos, Komodo dragons and Madagascar hissing cockroaches. Additionally, guests can explore different ecosystems, watch animal shows, 4D movies, and cool off in the water park.

Hermann Park
Covering more than 400 acres, Hermann Park is one of Houston's most visited attractions. Featuring plenty of wooded areas for walking trails, the park also offers beautifully landscaped gardens like the Chinese and Japanese gardens. Visitors can play a round of golf at the golf course, paddle boat on the lake, or picnic on the green spaces. Children will enjoy the playground and miniature train that circles the park. The park is also conveniently nearby the Houston Zoo and the Miller Outdoor Theatre.
