Welcome to Melbourne

Melbourne is on the Space Coast in Brevard County in east-central Florida. Its primary location is on the mainland with a small part being on a barrier island with the Indian River Lagoon that separates it from the mainland. Two four-lane bridges, the Eau Gallie Causeway and the Melbourne Causeway, join the island with the mainland.

The Melbourne area is accessible by air, bus and car. The Melbourne International Airport provides both the Treasure and Space Coasts with air service from major and regional airlines. The airport also has charter flights and cargo service. Other nearby airports are Orlando International, Orlando-Sanford and Daytona Beach. Space Coast Area Transit serves Brevard County. Main highways such as Interstate 95 can reach Melbourne.
