Capitol Building

This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. It is an elegant architectural masterpiece, setting on over 40 acres, with beautifully maintained and sculpted lawns, trees, flowerbeds, and shrubs. From the south steps, Kiwanzar trees can be viewed circling the drive. From the front steps you see a spectacular view of the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains, and Salt Lake City below.

Utah's Hogle Zoo

A Utah state favorite, Hogle Zoo provides an oasis for 1.100 animals, representing over 250 species from around the world. The Zoo has something for everyone. You can enjoy an animal adventure and see hundreds of rare animals including bears, elephants, giraffes, snakes and tigers.

Fort Douglas Military Museum
32 Potter St, Salt Lake City, UT 84113
Situated within the grounds of the University of Utah, the museum campus consists of three buildings which house the library, exhibits, administration offices, artifact storage and workshop areas. The three buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places, and date from 1863 and 1875.

The park is home to Old Desert Village, a living history museum where you can discover what life was like in mid-1800s Utah. The village features adobe houses, shops, schools and churches from that time period.

International Peace Gardens at Jordan Park

The garden was opened in Jordan Park in 1947 to honor the world's cultural diversity and foster friendship and peace among all countries. Today the gardens, the benches and shade trees make this a good spot for a summer picnic or a moment of quiet solitude.
