Pearson Field Airport, located near downtown Vancouver, is the main airport serving the city. The nearest commercial airport is Portland International Airport.

C-TRAN (the Clark County Public Transportation) serves Vancouver and its Urban Growth Boundary. With 27 bus routes, C-VAN curb-to-curb service for people who cannot access regular route service, a Bike & Bus program and much more, C-TRAN has a transportation solution for just about anyone.

Vancouver has always been well served by rail; current freight railroads operating in Vancouver include the BNSF, Union Pacific, and the local shortline Lewis and Clark Railway.

An Amtrak station is to be found in the city. The station is located at 1301 West 11th Street. It is open daily from 8:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Checked baggage is available during station hours. The station is wheelchair accessible. Several trains run daily to and from various cities. Amtrak Cascades trains, operating as far north as Vancouver, British Columbia and as far south as Eugene, Oregon, serve Vancouver several times daily in both directions.
